Percutaneous Biliary Drainage and Stenting

In patients with narrowed or blocked bile ducts due to liver disease, bile cannot be excreted into the intestines, causing it to accumulate in the body and cause jaundice and similar conditions.

In our Interventional Radiology department, drainage catheters are placed in these patients to drain bile or transport it into the intestines.
Biliary system ballooning and stenting are also performed when necessary.
