Patients with narrowed or blocked bile ducts due to liver disease cannot drain bile into the intestines, causing it to accumulate in the body and cause jaundice and similar conditions.
Drainage catheters are placed in our Interventional Radiology department to drain bile or transport it into the intestines.
When necessary, biliary system ballooning and stenting are also performed at our university by our experienced team.
