QUESTION: I have a 16 mm diameter nodule in my thyroid. What should I do?
ANSWER: First, I recommend a Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAAB) of the nodule in your thyroid gland.
If your nodule is determined to be benign and you have no symptoms, I recommend ultrasound checkups every six months. If your nodule is disrupting your hormonal balance or growing rapidly, you can have it treated non-surgically with percutaneous ablation. I wish you a speedy recovery.
