Percutaneous Biliary Drainage and Stenting

Patients with narrowed or blocked bile ducts due to liver disease cannot drain bile into the intestines, causing it to accumulate in the body and cause jaundice and similar conditions.

In these patients, drainage catheters are placed in the Interventional Radiology Department to drain bile or transport it into the intestine. Biliary system ballooning and stenting can also be performed when necessary.
